Claireece Precious Jones endures unimaginable hardships in her young life. Abused by her mother, raped by her father, she grows up poor, angry, illiterate, fat, unloved and generally unnoticed. So what better way to learn about her than through her own, halting dialect.
The film stars Mo'Nique, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, Paula Patton, Sherri Shepherd, Chyna Lane (infamous Dr. Miracle commercials) and Gabourey "Gabby" Sidibe as Precious.
The movie was also under the name "Push" Based on the novel by Sapphire. Check out the Trailer. Looks good! Support when it comes out guys! =)

Yeah Oprah gonna promote the hell out of this...I feel an episode coming on. I never got to read "Push" :shame: Heard the chick fits the description to the T. I'll be watching this movie...I remember seeing pics of Mo'nique filming for this. It's time already huh
ReplyDeleteYeah, I never got to read the book either, my sister has it. It's been in my house for years, but I never got the chance to finish it. I'll try and read it before the movie comes out, if I remember. Yeah, I remember those pics a few months ago as well. Seems like it'll be a good flick.
